The directors of In Your Space Event Management are John Burns and Seamus Coyle.

John has a background in theatre and performance and has worked within the festival and club scene in Holland as well as touring extensively with renowned theatre company Ridiculusmus. In 2001 John returned to Northern Ireland and set up In Your Space. He has been pivotal in the delivery of street theatre and large scale installations to the streets of the North-West of Ireland for the past ten years and has more recently held the role of Artistic Director for the Carnivale of Colours International Childrens’ Festival.

Seamus has a background in venue management and programming spanning the last 20 years. In Liverpool, he worked as Events Manager for John Moores University and in-house for the 2008 European Capital of Culture Company. After returning to Northern Ireland, he has been involved in many public events in Derry-Londonderry having been employed at the City’s Festival’s Office. Over the years he has worked with many international acts such as Kylie Minogue. He holds a degree in Leisure, Event and Cultural Management.

John and Seamus have played a pivotal role in prominent projects in Northern Ireland, including provision of performers in the ‘Voices’ film made for the winning City of Culture 2013 bid. They work closely with many local authorities to deliver production and entertainment at their public events such as the renowned Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival, City of Derry Jazz Festival, Christmas celebrations and the St Patrick’s Day Pageant.
